The Mosaic Project has a goal of transforming St. Louis into the fastest-growing major metropolitan area for immigration by 2025.
The St. Louis Mosaic Project celebrated their 10th year of work toward its goal of transforming St. Louis into the fastest-growing major metropolitan area for immigration by 2025.
The celebration included Hindustani music, remarks from Mayor Tishaura O. Jones, David Kemper of Commerce Bank and Kathy Osborn of Young Professionals Network (Regional Business Council), and an inspiring discussion by some of the founding members of the Mosaic Project who talked about their original vision, accomplishments and strategic plans for the future.
“Over the past ten years the region has grown by approximately 20,000 foreign-born people, adding to economic and cultural prosperity,” said Mosaic Executive Director, Betsy Cohen. “Looking forward, three growth plans are in process: the International Institute leading on Afghan attraction with our support, St. Louis Mosaic Project and Hispanic collaboration on the STL Para Ti attraction plan and the St. Louis Mosaic Project leading an Indian attraction plan.”
