AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program

Great opportunity for seniors at the Lemay Business Center!

The Senior Community Employment Program (SCSEP) at the STL Partnership’s Lemay Business Center is a great program to help low income, unemployed individuals ages 55 and above. The AARP Foundation matches job seekers with local nonprofits and public agencies to increase their skills while earning income.

Through the SCSEP Program participants can expect the following:

  • Receive up to 20/hours/week of paid training and work experience
  • Gain valuable skills and experience while building self confidence
  • Use skills and talents to improve the community by training in a variety of locations including offices, hospitals, daycare centers, senior centers and other community organizations.

“We are excited about working with the STL Partnership. We felt a need to have an office in the south county/south city to reach members of the community.” said Carol Foreman, Project Director the SCSEP Program at Lemay Business Center.

Employers are encouraged to participate in the program also. If interested as an employer or employee, please contact Carol Foreman at [email protected].
