Thoughts from the Partnership's CEO

It’s a great day for all of St. Louis! I want to let the employees and leaders at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) know how thrilled we are about their choice to grow in North St. Louis. This decision will revitalize a historic and beautiful stretch of St. Louis near the riverfront.

NGA Director Robert Cardillo has brought an incredible amount of vision and effort to the table. I truly appreciate that. This new facility will mean $1.7 billion invested into our community. It will lead to a rebirth of North St. Louis and strengthen public safety for many years to come. It will also be a catalyst to our growing technology and IT sector.

I want to thank our elected leaders for their tireless work. To Mayor Francis Slay, this is a legacy that will position the St. Louis riverfront and downtown tech corridor for incredible success in decades to come.

To County Executive Steve Stenger, thanks for your spirit of regionalism and the vision it took to back a city site when two other county sites were in consideration.

I want to also sincerely thank our federal delegation for fighting hard to make this dream a reality. Senator Claire McCaskill, Senator Roy Blunt, Congressman Lacy Clay and Congresswoman Ann Wagner were all instrumental in bringing this project to St. Louis.

The St. Louis region is an incredible place to live and work. The NGA leaders saw that and made their decision accordingly. The tech explosion in our region is real and growing. That area is our future.
