Cross Rhodes Print and Technologies Receives Funding Through the STL Partnership
In 2009, as a result of the printing industry shifting more toward electronic services, Elmer Rhodes founded Cross Rhodes Print & Technologies. The company specializes in document management, storage and reproduction of construction documents, large format color printing and managing print services.
Cross Rhodes Print & Technologies received an Economic Development Administration (EDA) loan through The St. Louis Local Development Company. (LDC) and was facilitated by the STL Partnership Business Finance Department. “A couple of years ago, my business was one of many effected by flooding we had in St. Louis. My insurance company denied my claim due to the foundation of the building which left me with three major pieces of equipment lost,” said Rhodes. “The STL Partnership played a key role to help save my business.”
Recently, Cross Rhodes Print & Technologies has worked on major projects throughout St. Louis and other cities. Some of those projects include The St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station, City Foundry STL, Chicago Midway International Airport and Macy’s. “My team and I take pride in providing professional services. Our services are cutting edge in technology that allows better communication with our clients,” said Rhodes.
Rhodes has over 25 years of expertise in his field and is proud to have learned business practices from others in the local construction industry. “Cross Rhodes is a result of the St. Louis community’s many efforts to promote minority owned businesses,” said Rhodes. We are simply one of the many success stories of those efforts put forward by many people, agencies and construction companies.”
Exciting future plans are underway for the company. “We are currently expanding into the environmental graphic industry. “We are now providing large format color printing as well as job site trailers that can come ready with all the technology and furniture needed for that project’s document management process,” said Rhodes.
