World Trade Center Hosts AgTech Delegation from Argentina

St. Louis-Argentina MOU signed during visit

On June 6th, World Trade Center St. Louis (WTC) hosted more than 30 delegates from Córdoba, Argentina as part of a two-day mission that celebrates the growing ties between the Midwestern U.S. and South America in agricultural innovation and entrepreneurship.

Among the speakers who presented to the Argentine delegation were Rodney Crim, CEO and president of St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, Tim Nowak, executive director of WTC and Suzanne Sierra, executive director of the St. Louis Mosaic Project. Representatives from St. Louis-Rosario Sister Cities, Greater St. Louis Inc. and St. Louis Agribusiness Club, among others.

The Argentine delegation featured Martín Llaryora, governor of Cordoba, Guillermo Acosta, head of economic development in Córdoba , Dr. Sergio Busso, minister of Bioagroindustry, Manual Ron, President of Córdoba’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Agency.

The event concluded with the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The agreement outlines a two-year framework for agtech programming, talent exchange and joint events between St. Louis and Río Cuarto, and is endorsed by institutions such as 39 North, the National Agricultural Technology Institute of Argentina, the Cordoba Government and the Ministry of Agriculture of Córdoba.
