IMBA candidates, staff members also toured STL Partnership’s Helix Center

On February 14, 12 students and two staff members from the International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) program at the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) visited World Trade Center St. Louis (WTC), the international division of St. Louis Economic Development Partnership (STL Partnership). The IMBA program consists of students who are fluent in another commercial language beyond English and are passionate about leading organizations in the global economy.

This two-year business program requires students to study one year abroad and one year at UMSL. When studying in St. Louis, the program offers students the opportunity to experience company tours where they explore interesting companies in the St. Louis region to seek out new industry insights and professional connections.

The students and two staff members, Renita Miller and Dr. Joe Rottman, visited WTC where they were given presentations by WTC Executive Director Tim Nowak, Deputy Director Stella Sheehan and Program Manager Annie Mbale explaining the work of STL Partnership, WTC and the St. Louis Mosaic Project, plus the value of the St. Louis Sister Cities Program.

After the presentations, WTC team members and the students and faculty members toured the Helix Center, one of STL Partnership’s four business incubators. The Helix Center, located in the 39 North Innovation District, is home to bioscience and technology entrepreneurs within a world-renowned cluster of bioscience and technology research institutions.
