Transfer of MWBE Certification Program

STL Partnership to Partner with SLDC

The St. Louis Economic Development Partnership (STL Partnership) is pleased to announce its partnership with the St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC) to begin administering the Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) certificate. The MWBE certification program will be transferred from the Business Diversity Development (BDD) at the St. Louis Lambert International Airport. The transfer will take place on August 30, 2024.

The MWBE Program works to support minority-owned businesses by promoting business opportunities. Its goal is to nurture equitable prospects for the MBE and WBE in St. Louis City and County. SLDC will oversee MWBE projects and work to provide equal economic opportunities for businesses. During the transitional period, the SLDC will offer training sessions at the Northside Economic Empowerment Center (NEEC), located at 4248 Cottage Ave, St. Louis, MO 63113.
