STL Partnership to Host Open Houses at Business Incubators
Open houses to take place starting Nov. 10 during STL Startup Week
The St. Louis Economic Development Partnership (STL Partnership) will showcase their small business incubators, hosting four open houses Nov. 10-13. The open houses will take place during STL Startup Week, an event series designed for the St. Louis entrepreneurship community.
“STL Startup Week is always an exciting time for entrepreneurs to network and learn what resources are out there to help them succeed,” said Colleen Mulvihill, STL Partnership and Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) business counselor. “We want to invite small business owners to visit our Incubators and learn about the spaces, services and communities we provide throughout St. Louis.”
The first open house will take place on Monday, Nov. 10 at the Wellston Business Incubator, located at 6439 Plymouth Avenue in Wellston, Mo. The next open house will be on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the Lemay Business Incubator at 315 Lemay Ferry Road in Lemay, Mo., followed by an open house on Thursday, Nov. 13 at the West County Business Incubator, 743 Spirit 40 Park Drive in Chesterfield, Mo.
These three events will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on their respective dates and will include tours of office and warehouse spaces, shared conference rooms and community spaces. Additionally, the incubators offer on-site support, 24-hour access for clients, small business counseling and training workshops. Each event will also have specialized training sessions for open house visitors and current tenants of the business incubators, from 2 to 3 p.m.
The training session on Nov. 10 at the Wellston Business Incubator will focus on marketing and media relations for small businesses. The Nov. 12 session at the Lemay Business Incubator will examine business financing options that are available, and the session on Nov. 13 in Chesterfield will explain how pitch decks can attract investors, partners and customers. Each training session will be from 2 to 3 p.m.
On Nov. 13, STL Partnership’s Helix Center Biotech Incubator, which houses bioscience and technology entrepreneurs, will co-host an open house with 39 North, St. Louis’ AgTech innovation district, from 4 to 6 p.m. The event will entail networking and presentations from companies that work in one of the Business Incubators or 39 North. It will take place at 39 North’s office at 1001 North Warson Road in Olivette, Mo.
