STL Partnership, St. Louis County Host Delta Sigma Theta Sorority

Delta Day held at STL Partnership, St. Louis County government offices

St. Louis Economic Development Partnership (STL Partnership) and St. Louis County hosted more than 40 members of the St. Louis Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. on Nov. 12. To kick off the event, St. Louis County Executive Dr. Sam Page provided a welcome message, took questions from the sorority members and proclaimed Nov. 12 as “Delta Day.”

The event included meeting leadership from St. Louis County and STL Partnership, plus a panel discussion with Dr. Kanika Cunningham, director of the St. Louis County Department of Public Health, Stephanie Leon Streeter, director of the Department of Public Works and Transportation for St. Louis County and Rodney Crim, CEO and president of STL Partnership. Also, Jacob Trimble, director of planning for St. Louis County, gave a presentation on STLCO 2050, which is an equitable and sustainable comprehensive plan that will provide a long-term vision for the County. It will guide the development of a sustainable, equitable and fiscally responsible community for St. Louis County.

After the panel discussion and presentation, the sorority sisters attended a County Council meeting at the St. Louis County Government Office.

The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance through established programs in local communities. The St. Louis Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority has more than 400 members.
