STL Partnership Engages with Baltimore Metropolitan Council

Discussion and tour focus on key regional initiatives

On October 16th, the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership (STL Partnership) met with the Baltimore Metropolitan Council. The meeting focused on critical regional projects and initiatives. Key agenda items included Forest Park, its taxing district and the park’s development. Also discussed were the Cortex Innovation District, City Park, Development along Martin Luther King Boulevard and 39 North.

“This collaboration aims to strengthen regional efforts and share insights on sustainable development and community engagement,” said Kevin Cahill, vice president of strategic initiatives for STL Partnership.

Around 80 participants from the Baltimore area, including eight from STL Partnership, took part in a comprehensive tour of local development initiatives. Highlights included a visit to St. Louis Development Corporation’s (SLDC) new Monarch workforce development facility, a drive by the site of the new Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Center of St. Louis (AMICSTL), and a bus ride along Martin Luther King Boulevard to showcase ongoing developments. The group also attended a presentation from AMICSTL, 39 North and STL Partnership and toured the Danforth Science Center, further emphasizing the importance of collaboration in driving regional growth.

Additionally, small group sessions were held with representatives from Beyond Housing, Cherokee Street, Great Rivers Greenway and St. Charles.
