St. Louis County Port Authority Names Grant Recipients for 2024
The St. Louis County Port Authority, a seven-member board, recently awarded grants to 21 local organizations serving St. Louis County and the region that totaled nearly $3.3 million. The goal of the grants is to fund community development projects that train people to improve their employment opportunities, create new jobs and redevelop areas in St. Louis County to improve economic conditions.
“To grow our region, we must do all we can to help create new jobs and revitalize areas where there have been years of disinvestment,” said St. Louis County Executive Dr. Sam Page. “I appreciate the work of the Port Authority in elevating the work of these local partners.”
“We believe that the projects we investigated and approved this year meet our core values of helping previously underserved individuals and communities,” said Ambassador Kevin F. O’Malley, chairman of the St. Louis County Port Authority. “We believe these funds will be used to help the redevelopment of some crucial needs and can deliver new jobs and a better trained workforce throughout the St. Louis County region.”
