Port Authority Wins Award for Jamestown Mall Study

Market analysis, feasibility study recognized by APA Missouri

The St. Louis County Port Authority (Port Authority) recently received an award from the Missouri Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA Missouri) for its Imagine Jamestown Mall Market Analysis and Feasibility Study. The Port Authority received the 2024 Outstanding Plan Award, which is given to plans that advance the science and art of planning.

The Port Authority released the market analysis and feasibility study on the Jamestown Mall site located in North County in 2023. The study combined a comprehensive market analysis of a wide range of realistic redevelopment scenarios with extensive community engagement.

Working in partnership with the Port Authority on the analysis and feasibility study was the i5 Group, which was the prime consultant. Sub-consultants on the project were: Added Dimension, Saint Louis University Community Planning Lab, Stock & Associates and &Access, Inc. Also contributing to the project was the advisory committee that consisted of: Spanish Lake Neighborhood Association, Spanish Lake CDC, Old Jamestown Neighborhood Association, Christian Hospital, St. Louis Community College, Saint Louis Zoo, Greater North County Chamber of Commerce, North County Inc., A Red Circle, Hazelwood School District, St. Louis County Department of Planning, St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, City of Florissant and City of Black Jack.
