Philip Johnson Salon/Spa is a unique small business, located in the Central West End. The salon has sustained through COVID-19 and has received a Small Business Resource Loan through the STL Partnership. “Not only has the STL Partnership helped us with obtaining a loan, they also have been a resource for other programs,” said Philip Johnson, owner of Philip Johnson Salon/Spa. “The resources they have provided have been a big help.”
Philip Johnson Salon/Spa offers diverse services and an environment designed to rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit. Their mission is to also focus on individualized attention, continual education for the staff and giving back to the community. “My business partner and I are educators,” said Johnson. “We wanted to have a business of our own that could help people grow in the cosmetology industry.”
The business has now re-opened and adjusting to new restrictions due to COVID-19 and wants to make sure all customers are safe while enjoying a relaxing experience. “We have expanded our days and hours to accommodate guests as conveniently as possible while maintaining social distancing requirements,” said Johnson. “We have implemented many safety and sanitation protocols that has helped instill a level of trust and comfort for our guests. The feedback and reviews from guests since re-opening have proven that what we are doing is right and has allowed our guests to return without any worries for their safety.”
