Local Aerospace Manufacturer to Expand In St. Louis County

60 New Full-Time Positions Created From Expansion

R&S Machining Inc., a local aerospace manufacturer, is expanding its operations in south St. Louis County. The company will expand their current location at 4800 Baumgartner Road and purchase new manufacturing equipment for use at 6245 Lemay Ferry Road. The expansion is a $13,500,000 investment.

R&S Machining Inc. was founded in 1992 by two professionals (Tom Roderick and Mike Stockglausner) who formerly worked at Boeing. The company’s focus on high quality work, exceptional customer service, competitive pricing, and quick turn-around times has driven its growth in the aerospace sector. The company received encouragement to relocate to Texas and Kansas to shorten the supply chain but chose to stay in the St. Louis region to continue supporting local economy.

The Missouri Department of Economic Development, AllianceSTL and Ameren collaborated with the STL Partnership to retain this business in the region. The expansion will result in 60 new full-time positions in the company.

“The company ultimately decided that staying in the area will not only benefit the company itself, but also the region,” said Rodney Crim, CEO & President of the STL Partnership. “The relocation will create 60 new full-time permanent jobs and will retain 48 existing jobs.”
