International Business Appreciation Month Panel

STL Partnership CEO and President on UMSL Panel

The University of Missouri – St. Louis (UMSL) held an executive panel focusing on “Doing Business in the Post-Pandemic World” during International Business Appreciation Month. During this month, UMSL brings together students and international business professionals. It offers participating companies a special opportunity to meet a highly qualified, diverse workforce with an interest in global careers.

Along with other executives from companies like Coca-Cola and professors from UMSL, STL Partnership CEO and President Rodney Crim talked about the different ways the STL Partnership has responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. Crim talked about how the STL Partnership, along with regional partners, focused on ways to help small businesses survive financially through programs like the Small Business Rapid Deployment Fund, the Small Business Resource Fund Program, the Small Business Resource Discretionary Grant Program, and many others.

Crim emphasized the importance of communication between regional partners in order for these programs to work.

“We banded together,” Crim said. “We asked each other, ‘What can we really do help our region’s small businesses?'”
