Cassondra Hunt, Founder of Hunts Haven Home Care, LLC
Hunts Haven Home Care, LLC is making a difference in the community. Their mission is to provide the best one-on-one, high quality care for the elderly. The business is located in the STL Partnership Wellston Business Center located in the St. Louis Promise Zone. “I chose the Wellston Business Center because it’s easy to access and I wanted to serve the clients in that area as well,” said Cassondra Hunt, Founder of Hunts Haven Home Care.
Opening Hunts Haven Home Care, LLC has always been an aspiration for Cassondra. “I worked in real estate before my husband encouraged me to pursue my dreams. I was eager to help the community, and that is when I thought of this idea,” said Hunt. “I started out by using two of my real estate properties to set up the Hunts Haven’s Home Health Care Temporary Housing Program. I love the elderly because they are fun and wise, so I jumped at the opportunity to create an in-home care solution for those in need.”

Hunts Haven has been serving St. Louis patients for just over one year and is prepared to grow and help even more St. Louis residents get the home health care services they need. “Our goal is to build comfortable long-term Hunts Haven facilities where nurse aides can help clients 24/7 for as many years as they need, extending our current 3 Month Temporary Housing Program.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cassondra has also been successful sustaining her business. “I sustained during the pandemic by keeping my staff updated on safety and the precautions of spreading it,” said Hunt. “Our clients still need help and we have made sure that we are still there for them through all of this.”

Cassondra also is the founder of the non-profit organization The Hunt Foundation. “Through this non-profit, I convert almost all of our Hunts Haven profits into community growth programs and experiences, including organizing fundraisers, community-building events, and in-depth training sessions for volunteers,” said Hunt. “We also have toy drives during the holiday season, provide resources to those in need and host other events such as BBQ’s for the community.”
Hunt is eager about future plans to grow as an entrepreneur. “My future plans are to open an assisted living facility. I would like to service as many people in my community as possible and be able to continue to give back.”
