The United States participates in several bilateral and regional trade agreements, notably USMCA (United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement), the successor to NAFTA. Under USMCA, goods produced in any of the three countries are eligible for duty-free trade.
We have previosuly explained how to qualify products according to USMCA’s Rules of Origin. This webinar explores how recent tariffs have sometimes superseded USMCA provisions—and conversely, how qualifying under USMCA can shield companies from those duties. As a result, businesses that previously overlooked USMCA may now find it valuable for improving profitability.
We’ll feature insights from an expert at the US Commercial Service and a customs broker who will share a view from the northern and southern borders of the U.S.
