Annie Mbale Receives Diversity and Inclusion Award

St. Louis Business Journal names 2025 Champions for Diversity and Inclusion
Annie Mbale, program manager for the St. Louis Mosaic Project, has been named one of the 2025 Champions for Diversity and Inclusion by the St. Louis Business Journal.
Mbale began working with the St. Louis Mosaic Project and World Trade Center St. Louis in 2022 as a project manager. She was promoted to program manager of the St. Louis Mosaic Project in April 2025.
Founded in 2013, the St. Louis Mosaic Project is a regional initiative within the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership and World Trade Center St. Louis. The St. Louis Mosaic Project uses grassroots outreach, social media and marketing to educate and inform the business, academic, non-profit and broader community about the significant impact that a diverse, foreign-born population can make for the region’s overall growth.
According to the Business Journal, the focus of the Champions for Diversity and Inclusion, which was renamed from Diverse Business Leaders four years ago, is to highlight those who, through their work, are truly championing the cause of making St. Louis a more inclusive place to live, work and play. Selections are based on their merits, achievements and contributions to their organizations and local community.
The 14 winners—consisting of 10 individuals, two nonprofits and two for-profit companies— can be found here.
