Crim Participates in Panel Discussion at Great Rivers Greenway Event
Panelists discuss how greenways build civic trust
Great Rivers Greenway (GRG), an organization that oversees 140 miles of greenways throughout St. Louis, presented The Civic Power of Greenways: 25 Years of Trust, Trails and Transformation, with FOCUS St. Louis and St. Louis County Library on Nov. 12. This panel discussion took place at the Clark Family Branch Library. Rodney Crim, CEO and President of St. Louis Economic Development Partnership (STL Partnership), participated in the panel discussion along with Shaughnessy Daniels, director of civic engagement at GRG, Jon Jon Wesolowski from Happy Urbanist and Mallory Rukhsana Nezam from Justice + Joy. Kristen Sorth, director and CEO of St. Louis County Library, moderated the discission.
The panelists discussed what they view as success for greenways, the secret to partnerships, how they each use greenways and what other metropolitan areas have great greenways.
Crim specifically talked about how greenways help with economic development for regions and their ability to deliver community cohesion.
