STL Partnership Attends Mayor’s Celebration of Businesses Luncheon
Event highlights businesses making an impact in St. Louis
On Oct. 3, members of St. Louis Economic Development Partnership (STL Partnership) attended the 2025 Mayor’s Celebration of Businesses Award Luncheon, powered by St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC). Among the speakers at the luncheon were Otis Williams, interim president and executive director of SLDC, and St. Louis City Mayor Cara Spencer.
In her speech, Spencer talked about companies that helped with the recovery from the May 16 tornado. She also highlighted the opening of National Geospatial Intelligence Agency’s new $1.75 billion western headquarters in north St. Louis, the return of the SLDC North City grants program and the new non-stop flight between St. Louis and London.
More than 20 companies were recognized as Business of the Year, Community Champion, Development of the Year, Developer of the Year and Good Neighbor award winners during the event. One of the winners of the Good Neighbor award was Sugarwitch, an ice cream sandwiches shop that is a client of STL Partnership’s Business Finance division.
