NEEC Moves to William J. Harrison Education Center

Center celebrates move with open house

The Northside Economic Empowerment Center (NEEC), a hub powered by St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC) for business empowerment, capacity building and workforce development, has officially moved to a new location at the William J. Harrison Education Center, located at 3140 Cass Ave. in St. Louis.

To celebrate the move, the community was invited to an open house on Tuesday, September 16, with welcome remarks and tours beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Previously located in the Annex at Sumner High School since its launch in 2023, the NEEC served over 2,670 residents and more than 1,120 businesses within its first year, providing both in-person and online services.

These services include back-office support, technical assistance for certification, licensing,  marketing, professional services, hiring fairs, access to capital through loans and grants and a strong network of resources for small businesses and residents.
