The Partnership’s Accounting Department supports not only its own accounting operations, special projects, and grants but also those of several affiliated entities. The Partnership is issuing this open request for qualifications from professional services/consulting firms for various accounting services and projects expected to require additional support.
Scope of Services
The Partnership seeks qualifications from firms that can support the Accounting Department with regular staff augmentation and support for special projects that improve operations (the “Services”). Special projects will be determined based on priority and allocated budget and could cover multiple areas of applicability. As a result, a specific scope of work will be developed and agreed upon in conjunction with qualified firms for each project as those projects are identified.
Potential projects may include, but are not limited to, the following Services:
• Review the overall accounting operations of the Partnership and identify process and structure improvements for the Accounting Department;
• Review process documentation, perform walkthroughs, and update process documentation to reflect current workflows and identify areas of improvement and efficiency;
• Review internal control procedures for specific transaction classes and recommend areas of improvement and efficiency;
• Review accounting procedures and inter-department record keeping procedures for grants and identify areas of improvement and efficiency; and
• Provide regular and recurring monthly support for agreed-upon accounting activities.
Experience with MIP (Abila) Accounting software and/or willingness to train on the system is required.
While the above is a general summary of the Services, specific requirements may differ depending upon the project. The successful firm must carry adequate insurance coverage.
