Engage in trade: International Women's day graphic with three headshots of women

ENGAGE IN TRADE

International Women's Day

This year’s theme is “Give to Gain.”

Give To Gain emphasizes the power of reciprocity and support. When people, organizations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase. When women thrive, we all rise. Whether through donations, knowledge, resources, infrastructure, visibility, advocacy, education, training, mentoring, or time, contributing to women’s advancement helps create a more supportive and interconnected world.

As we traditionally do, we will hear from three women, from three different areas of the world, now happily settled in the St. Louis region. We will learn about gender issues in their home countries, what brought them to St. Louis, and how their individual contributions are making an impact, not only on our local region but across the globe. They are not celebrities, they are “ordinary women” who are giving of themselves every day, inspiring each of us to do the same, whatever our gender and wherever we are in our own life journey.
