Jamestown Mall Market Analysis and Feasibility Study Report

Imagine Jamestown Redevelopment: A Community Driven, Market Based Approach

The St. Louis County Port Authority released a report from their Market Analysis and Feasibility Study on the Jamestown Mall site located in North County. The study combined a comprehensive market analysis of a wide range of realistic redevelopment scenarios with extensive community engagement.

The purpose of the Jamestown Mall Market Analysis and Feasibility Study was to evaluate potential redevelopment opportunities that were aligned with the needs and desires of the surrounding community.

Community engagement was an important part of the process. An advisory committee, that included community members, worked with the planning team to develop principles of preferred development. Other community engagement involved small group conversations within surrounding neighborhoods and two public forums.

Based on the initial market analysis and community input, the report recommends Ag-Food Technology Campus as the preferred land use for the Jamestown Mall site. The report also outlined an alternative land use of senior (55+) residential with agri-living.
