St. Louis County Seeks Public Input for 25-year Vision
St. Louis County 2050 Comprehensive Plan to be adopted in Fall 2025
St. Louis County is seeking public input to shape its vision for the next 25 years through a comprehensive planning process. The county has, and continues to host, a series of public forums, both online and in-person, to gather feedback on the future of the area. This collaboration will help create a roadmap that addresses land use, infrastructure, economic and social factors, guiding county policies across all departments.
The new comprehensive plan will prioritize resources based on data and community input. The document will guide policies across all departments in the County. Its planning process has lasted through 2024 and will continue into early 2025.
The planning process unfolded in four stages:
1. Learning & Talking (Early 2024) — Community outreach, housing affordability, development trends and transportation studies.
2. Ideas & Diagnostics (Spring 2024) — Data collection and analysis of community needs.
3. Pathway to the Future (Summer 2024) — Development of potential solutions and strategies.
4. Forward Together (Fall 2024 and beyond) — Finalizing the action plan, investment priorities and a 2050 policy map.
The draft STLCO 2050 Plan will be available for review in early 2025, with formal adoption expected in Fall 2025.
