World-Class Data Center coming to the City of St. Louis
$150 million investment in Downtown St. Louis
TierPoint, a cloud computing firm, has announced plans to invest $150 million into an enterprise grade data center, located at 2300 Locust Street in St. Louis. This facility will join TierPoint’s 40 other world-class data centers spread throughout the United States.
The building is 130,000 square feet, with TierPoint planning to build out 22,600 square feet of production space. This space will lead to nine permanent positions and 80 construction jobs.
St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, along with our economic development partners were pleased to assist with TierPoint’s expansion. Our partners included: Ameren Missouri, City of St. Louis, Greater St. Louis, Inc., Missouri Partnership, and St. Louis Development Corporation.
In a news release St. Louis Mayor Tishaura O. Jones stated, “TierPoint’s decision to invest so heavily in Downtown St. Louis is a strong vote of confidence in our plans for the future. We continue to build a Downtown that serves as the cultural hub of the St. Louis region, and I’m grateful to TierPoint for their investment in the bright future ahead.”
