Promise Zone and Forward Through Ferguson Event Set for Oct. 28
The St. Louis Promise Zone and Forward Through Ferguson will host a Community Canvass Day on Saturday, Oct. 28. Volunteers will canvass the community with information about available resources and voter registration.
Volunteers will also engage residents around the top issues facing their neighborhoods. Information gathered will help in prioritizing future work in the Promise Zone to ensure resources are reaching area residents.
Teams of two will receive a brief training, informational brochures to hand out, guided scripts for engagement and a list of addresses to target door-knocking within the community. Shifts are two hours long between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and will be completed in designated Promise Zone neighborhoods.
