The St. Louis Economic Development Partnership’s new vice president for innovation and entrepreneurship, Ginger Imster, recently sat down for a Q&A with EQ’s Tanya Tatzeck.

Imster and her staff promote the St. Louis region to startups throughout the United States and world.  They monitor the organization’s investments through the Helix Fund and manage STLVentureWorks, which includes five innovation centers throughout the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County.

“Our startup scene is one of the best in America, and I wanted a visionary to lead our innovation efforts,” Partnership CEO Sheila Sweeney said.  “I identified Ginger as someone who can look at the entire innovation space and see what we need and where we can build on our strengths.  This is a strategic hire that will increase the St. Louis brand on a global stage.”
