The St. Louis Promise Zone has launched an interactive tool which highlights completed development projects in the zone and those currently in progress.  By identifying current investment, community leaders hope to attract new investment and show the region’s development potential.

“Since we secured the Promise Zone designation in 2015, there has been tremendous development in the area, and several more projects are in the planning stages,” St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger said.  “This tool will help us keep our momentum by attracting even more investment in the Promise Zone.”

With this tool, users can explore the $4.68 billion in zone investments since its designation.

“I’m confident the partnerships and investments in the Promise Zone will act as a catalyst for even more growth in the region,” St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson said.  “This map demonstrates the zone’s development potential and makes it easy for developers to locate new opportunities.”

By toggling between developments, community institutions and resources, users can locate specific projects and services with addresses, information and photos.  Projects include healthcare facilities, new apartments, athletic fields and more.

Additionally, site users can explore Promise Zone community institutions, learn more about their services and locate them on the map.

“This interactive map will be an invaluable resource to developers and Promise Zone residents alike,” St. Louis Economic Development Partnership CEO Sheila Sweeney said.  “I’m proud of the incredible work happening in the Promise Zone, and we’re pleased to be able to offer this first-of-its kind tool to St. Louis.”

The development map is a living site and will be updated frequently.  Information on how to submit project entries is available through the website.
