The St. Louis County Port Authority has established a $500,000 loan fund to help businesses damaged by flooding along the Meramec River and other waterways.

Interest-free loans — up to $25,000 — will be made available to repair flood damage not covered by a business’s existing insurance policy.  Only commercial enterprises in St. Louis County are eligible.  The re-payment of each loan will be due within two years.

For more information, please contact St. Louis Economic Development Partnership Vice President Joe Bannister at 314-308-5062 or [email protected].  Completed applications (see the fillable PDF above) should be e-mailed to Bannister.

The Port Authority approved a similar loan program during the winter flooding that started in December 2015.  The fund made 20 loans worth $450,000 to businesses that employed 491 workers.
