BRE Team Visits Watlow Electric Manufacturing in St. Louis County

BRE representatives meet Watlow leadership, tour facilities
The Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) team met with company leadership and toured Watlow Electric Manufacturing Company in Maryland Heights, Mo., on April 9.
Watlow first began designing and manufacturing electric thermal solutions in 1922. More than 100 years later, companies worldwide use Watlow’s technology in processes and equipment where exact delivery of heat is needed.
During the meeting, the BRE team provided an overview of its BRE program. Representatives from Watlow explained the history and vision of the company and shared financial achievements, future plans and new technological developments. The BRE team also received a tour of the facilities.
The BRE team connects St. Louis companies with government and economic development officials to ensure business owners, leaders and entrepreneurs know who to contact regarding opportunities or challenges. The BRE team includes representatives from St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, World Trade Center St. Louis, St. Louis Mosaic Project, St. Louis Development Corporation, Greater St. Louis, Inc., the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Spire, Ameren, St. Louis County Workforce and the St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment.
